Seek First began 25 years ago at the start of the internet boom, out of a garage converted into a home office, as a move to serve ministries that were heavily invested in serving their communities.
Through the years, that work eventually led to meeting business leaders in those churches who desired to make an impact in their communities as well.
Eventually, that led to a 'rubbing of shoulders' with leaders in larger, global nonprofits that were doing humanitarian work all over the world. And as the work grew, so did our fervor for the flourishing of others.
Today, most of the core leadership here at Seek First has spent at least two decades working in some capacity with nonprofits of all kinds, as well as in the business sector. We have seen both the U.S. economy and the global economy go through significant ups and downs, and yet through it all, the generosity of others never seems to diminish.
And that is where you come in. Your story. Your heart. We know, you have a heart that beats for the benefit of others. There is no way you would read this far if it didn't. And it is our desire to develop a relationship with you. To work with you, in the effort to make this world a better place than the one we were born into.
We know you have life demands, and as such, we have worked to create a variety of onramps for extending the reach of the good you are already bringing to this world. We simply want to bring about a greater good...a kingdom of good, with you.
Which brings us to a natural segue into...
VISION & MISSION.
The vision of Seek First is a 'kingdom of good', which is to say, a world where people live out of a heart of goodwill and love toward one another seeking freedom, relief, and justice for our fellow brothers and sisters...or in other words - our neighbors in need.
For those with a faith background rooted in the ways of Jesus, 'a kingdom of good' may sound familiar, yet different. It is our belief that as we work to see the 'kingdom of God' come to earth through the carrying out of the good works that have been prepared in advance for us to do, that a 'kingdom of good' is the result. After all, it is the God of creation recorded in the Old Testament of scripture that said when having completed His 'creation work', "it is good."
Just as we were born into this world with His breath in our lungs, we will draw our last breath working for a world lived in service to one another, and in connected presence with one another. This is not merely taking up space alongside each other but in meaningful and mutually beneficial relationship with one another. For the benefit of all.
We expect to accomplish this with a sovereign blessing on the good works we are set about doing - and those good works of our partners, designed to continue the perpetuation of service, community event, and investment opportunities.

A kingdom of good can only come about through partnership. Our desire is to increase connection and partnership between individuals and organizations for the furthering of these good works. Having spent over 2 decades enjoying the benefit of partnership with these organizations and the wonderful people that endeavor in these works, it is our delight to connect you with them in a deeper way.
